How to make a Palm Springs gallery wall

by Jess McCulloch

Palm Springs interiors have been popping up everywhere. For a California dreaming home all year round, here are some hot styling tips on how to group prints for your own gallery wall.

The key to making a beautiful Palm Springs gallery wall is mixing different colours, scales and styles. This means you can be super creative when you put together the artworks you love!

Poolside glamour

Monochrome Hollywood, blue skies and retro signs.

Palm Springs, nicknamed Hollywood’s desert playground, has seen some of the most glamourous movie stars grace its poolsides including Frank Sinatra, Marilyn Monroe and Elvis Presley. For this look, match black and white movie star photos with retro motel signs, green palm trees and deep blue pool scenes.

Plants on pink

Palm leaves, green cacti and splashy pinks.

For a palm springs look that positively pops, try mixing leafy botanical prints and tropical palm prints with bright pink abstracts. Combine velvet pinks, dusky velvet roses and vibrant fuchsias with bright greens and soft jades for a peachy #plantsonpink gallery wall.

Graphic designs, pretty pictures and abstract paintings.

For a slice of California cool, graphic art prints make a bold and colourful look. Pick out some vivid graphic prints and funky illustrations and team with pink paintings. Don’t be afraid to mix up geometric prints with some curvilinear prints too!

Remember, you don’t have to stick to one theme, mix and match your fave styles for a unique gallery wall. If in doubt choose complementary frames to pull the wall together. Get started on your own gallery wall by curating your favourite prints in My Gallery.
