Born in 1968, Andrew White is one of Britains most exciting young figurative painters.
He creates the most marvellous portrayals of figures, drawing skilfully on Britains heritage. He graduated from the Slade School of Art with a prize for Best Traditional Painting, his first exhibition was a sell-out and he soon acquired a substantial commission list from eager patrons. Remarkably, his originals are already fetching upwards of £10,000.
Andrew White was born in the Midlands, where he continues to live and work today, drawing inspiration from his surroundings. In 1991 he married his childhood sweetheart and today the couple work very much in partnership, for his wife, and other family members, feature strongly as models for his canvasses.
