Born in Fife in 1952, Brian trained in graphic design at Napier College in Edinburgh, before Joining DC Thomson in Dundee as a magazine designer. In 1995 he left to pursue a freelance career as a cartoonist, as well as painting in his studio overlooking the sea at Westhaven on the Angus coastline. Brian works mainly in oils and acrylics and his quirky, off the wall paintings depicting harbour life, street views and folk musicians are on show in a number of galleries throughout Scotland.
Love the print and the colours are just right for my new lounge. A little disappointed with the quality of the frame. Looks a bit "distressed" rather than smooth white. I ordered a print a few years ago from a company King and McGaw took over, can't remember the name, but that frame was immaculate white. Will keep it though. Could just be the design.
