Chris Ashworth is a graphic designer with a strong ethos for designing away from digital screens, creating his iconic style using Letreset, Letratone, scalpels, Pritstick, biro and pencil, in his intricate, hands-on approach. A style he calls Swiss Grit, his work is synonymous with the 1990s alternative music scene, when he worked with both the American magazine Ray Gun as art director in 1997, and the British, Blah Blah Blah magazine. Ashworth’s designs adorned the front covers, blending into photographs of legendary musicians whose careers emerged in the decade including Blur, Pulp and Oasis. 

For over two decades, Ashworth has worked as a senior creative leader across some of the world’s most culturally iconic projects in technology, music and design, for names including Microsoft, MTV, Nike, Bush and New Order.

Ashworth has had work published in over 100 international publications, exhibited at V&A and Tate Britain and featured alongside Banksy and Shepard Fairey.
