Isobel Bartholomew b. Birmingham, England 1943. Whilst running a Hotel School on the Caribbean island of St Lucia, she was inspired by the exotic colours of the tropical flora. Previously having no formal training, she began experimenting with watercolours for the first time, painting indigenous plants. She now teaches painting herself and has been awarded nine Royal Horticultural Society medals. Isobel has contributed to illustrations in the Royal Horticultural Society's New Dictionary of Gardening and has work in the Royal Horticultural Society's Lindley Library.
We started out as a small screenprinter in a Brighton basement. Today we've grown to a factory and design studio in Newhaven. Headed by founder Gyr King, we have a simple ethos to bring inspiring, affordable art to everyone.
