L. Boehmer & Co
Louis Boehmer (1843-1896) was a German-American government advisor in Meiji period Japan. He later established his own nursery in Yamate Bluff, Yokohama, trading under the name of L. Boehmer & Company. The business worked with Japanese plants - exporting them to Europe and the United States. It also provided plants and flowers to the German Emperor, which helped introduce the Japanese art of bonsai to the world.
