Marie studied Graphic Design and Illustration at Salisbury College of Art. After graduating she moved to Brighton where she designed hand-painted ceramics, before returning to her home county of Hampshire to work as a Textile Designer for companies such as BHS, Marks & Spencer, and Debenhams.
Now working as a freelance designer she creates designs for fabrics, paper goods, products and more. Besides her art work Marie also writes a blog called 'Print & Pattern' which aims to inspire and inform others about the world of design. In 2010 she created the first in an ongoing series of Print & Pattern books which are published by Laurence King.
We started out as a small screenprinter in a Brighton basement. Today we've grown to a factory and design studio in Newhaven. Headed by found Gyr King, we have a simple ethos to bring inspiring, affordable art to everyone.
