The Railway Station

Art print by William Powell Frith #103312

William Powell Frith

Yorkshireman William Frith (1818 - 1909) began painting at a young age, drawing inspiration from the historic and literary scenes in the work of Shakespeare and Dickens. During the 1850s he achieved success with his scenes of daily life and Queen Victoria purchased his painting Ramsgate Sands. His oeuvre includes many of the most cherished images of Victorian art, including Derby Day and The Railway Station.

Very easy to order and came securely wrapped the next day. The colour is authentic and the print has now replaced a very faded copy. I hope the new version will last in its present condition.

have always loved the painting and am very pleased with the print: the colours are right and they have taken well to the high quality paper. Pleasant transaction and speedy delivery. Thank you.
