Born in Bristol, England, in 1951, Anuk Naumann discovered a natural ability and interest in art during her childhood. She studied at London's University College, and The Bartlett School of Architecture, and then qualified as an architect in 1975.
Anuk Naumann's grandfather was a talented artist and he and the rest of her family have given her much inspiration for her artistic career. However, she also takes much inspiration from her domestic surroundings, and often includes many of her six cats in her paintings.
After experimenting with various media, Anuk Naumann finally chose to work with water-colour paints, acrylic and other mixed-media techniques. Her style of painting soon developed and she has held annual solo exhibitions in her local town. She has also exhibited at many leading galleries throughout the UK.
Whilst away from her studio, Anuk Naumann enjoys sewing, gardening and walking in the countryside.
