David Shillinglaw

David Shillinglaw is a UK based artist, best known for his works exploring human nature, success and failure and the language people use in the context of their experience. Born in 1982 in Saudi Arabia to British parents, he grew up in London and went on to graduate from Central Saint Martin’s in 2002. He works between street and studio spaces, and uses a wide range of mediums to inspire creativity. His past commissions include illustrations for the British Council Annual Report and murals for Converse and the Dulwich Picture House. He has exhibited in galleries in Japan, China, The Gambia, Holland and key cities such as New York, London, Berlin and Istanbul. At present, he lives and works in Margate.
