Eka Sharashidze photographs details of European cities, building photocollages from fleeting moments and architectural façades. The resulting works are fragmented reconstructions of cities, each print ornamental and beautifully composed. Born in Georgia and after completing a painting course at the Academy of Arts in Tbilisi, Sharashidze moved to Berlin in 1995 where she has lived and worked ever since
We started out as a small screenprinter in a Brighton basement. Today we've grown to a factory and design studio in Newhaven. Headed by found Gyr King, we have a simple ethos to bring inspiring, affordable art to everyone.
Excellent service as always - my husband and I love this picture and who can resist people watching. You can get lost seeking out different details of those running, cycling etc. My 3 year old son likes spotting the different people/activities too.
I have bought this as a Xmas present for a dear friend, and I love it.
Simple in design but it invites you to look closer at the characters, and the spacing and grouping of these figures is subtle and not overdone.
I'm sure she will love it too.
Excellent packaging and clear labelling, so the print arrived safe and sound on time at the right address. Looks good on the wall. Lots of people on the picture, but no children. Pity. Very pleased with the print and impressed by the delivery.
