Flappy Lane Fox b. Farnborough, England 1947. Originally trained in interior design, Flappy was drawn to botanical art as a form of therapy following the death of her son- she found the self-discipline required for botanical inspiration very helpful. She holds a Diploma in Botanical Illustration from The English Gardening School and has undertaken several private commissions. She has exhibited at the Chelsea Physic Garden and in Hampton Court and is a member of the Hampton Court Palace Florilegium Society. Her work is also included in the recently published Transylvania Florilegium under the umbrella of The Prince of Wales’s Foundation Romania.
