Vogue September 1933

American-Russian fashion photographer George Hoyningen-Huene (1900-1968) is admired for taking suave black-and-white photographs. Interestingly, he was an early advocate of taking pictures of the models from a higher vantage point. This technique gives the subject the look of a work of Classical Greek sculpture.
