Sunday Afternoon on the Island of Grand Jatte 1884-1886

The French Neo-Impressionist Georges Seurat (1869-1891) is known for his groundbreaking painting technique, Pointillism‚ where an image emerges from tiny dots of multi-coloured paint on a canvas. The viewer's eye blends the colours rather than them being physically blended on the canvas by the artist.
These prints have an ethereal and timeless quality, and work very well on canvas in large sizes for maximum impact.
