Jackson Pollock (1912-1956) was a leading figure of Abstract Expressionism, best known for his 'Action Paintings'. Pollock dripped and splattered household paint onto large unprimed canvases, creating highly spontaneous and expressive paintings. This radically tactile approach emphasised direct, physical contact with his materials, paving the way for a new era of non-representational art. Pollock is a lasting symbol of American modernism in its finest hour.
We started out as a small screenprinter in a Brighton basement. Today we've grown to a factory and design studio in Newhaven. Headed by founder Gyr King, we have a simple ethos to bring inspiring, affordable art to everyone.
Bought for the lounge because of the wonderful use of colours
The size is exactly as stated. The paper stock is high quality. The colors are not as vibrant and rich as I expected.
All as expected; plus carefully packaged, and delivered.
The print quality is good and the paper is substantial.
Looks very good as a canvas
I love this print. Not quite the original, but as striking. I think it is excellent value for money as it looks so professional. I feel I have a quality work of art on my wall and it is a joy to look at.
The framing is of a high quality and it's good and solid. The print is set against a white background that looks really good against a white wall. Lots of other companies supply the print but it's set against coloured backgrounds which detract from the print. Other companies also include the artist's name and title printed under the picture. I think it looks better with that information omitted.
Jackson Pollock may not be to everyone's taste, but this looks superb above my bed. It's a BIG piece of art. Very nice quality print and frame. Not cheap, but I doubt you could find better elsewhere.
