The Guitar Player, c.1672

Acknowledged as one of the greatest painters of the Dutch Golden Age, Johannes Vermeer was born in the city of Delft in 1632. He is renowned for his masterly treatment of light, his rich colour palette and the incredible detail of his paintings. His best-known works capture quiet scenes of middle-class life, giving prominence to women in domestic settings.

This enigmatic collection of prints looks wonderful framed traditionally. Equally, try a canvas or contemporary frame for a modern update.
