Josef Albers

Josef Albers (1888-1976) was a painter, sculptor and architect. While teaching at the Bauhaus school, he developed the renowned modern art movement of the same name, alongside peers Paul Klee and Wassily Kandinsky. A leader in the study of colour theory, Alber’s ‘Homage to the Square’ series of paintings remain some of his most significant works.
