L. S. Lowry (1887-1976) is best known for painting industrial scenes of North West England in the mid 20th century. His characteristic style has a dreamlike quality, populated by stylised figures referred to as 'matchstick men'. Although Lowry was trained in academic drawing, he chose to develop his own naive style which has brought him widespread recognition. His mysterious, weatherless landscapes express a personal response to the world around him that never fails to bewitch the viewer. Lowry's paintings tell the true tale behind English city life.
We started out as a small screenprinter in a Brighton basement. Today we've grown to a factory and design studio in Newhaven. Headed by found Gyr King, we have a simple ethos to bring inspiring, affordable art to everyone.
Beautiful print beautifully framed and safely delivered. Absolutely delighted.
Looks fabulous: picture, frame the lot!!
I saw a special edition of this print in an auction but couldn`t afford it. So, I bought this print and it has pride of place in my home. I am delighted with it.
Overall pleased. Quality of framing excellent. Only down side is that picture not as crisp blown up to this size as I thought it would be.
I was very pleased with the frame and mount very good quality and suits the print I chose perfectly. Very good value for the money.
Wanted artwork to complement our new refurbished lounge and chose this Lowry print because as well as looking good it came in various sizes.
Unfortunately the glass on the framed print was cracked upon delivery.
The company was brilliant in it's customer service and a replacement was delivered within a few days.
We were very impressed with the service and quality of the framed picture, which we chose for the subject matter, our liking of Lowry and reflecting our Northern roots.
The price was pretty reasonable as well.
