Marc Chagall's poetic, figurative style has established him as one of the most popular modern art painters. Born in 1877 in the Jewish town of Vitebsk, Russia, Chagall developed an early interest in art. After studying painting in 1907 he left for Paris, where he met Apollinaire, Delaunay, Leger, Modigliani and Lhote, becoming a prominent figure within the so-called Ecole de Paris. Influenced by cubism and fauvism, Chagall fused these with personal, dreamlike imagery to develop his own distinctive style.

I am always a bit nervous ordering gifts online from an untested source but this print was excellent. Quality of the print was great, frame was nice and most of all the professionalism of the framing was excellent. Very happy, thanks.
