M. C. Escher (1898-1972) was a Dutch graphic artist known for his innovative work that first bridged the gap between art and maths. Escher merged his impeccable talent for drawing with his interest in mathematics to create truly original work, in a time when abstract art was the norm. He impressively taught himself the theories of geometry that he needed to achieve his complex images, which were printed in lithography or wood engraving. These intricate processes required much time, and over his career of 60 years he produced 448 incredibly precise prints- an average of only 7 or 8 a year. Explore Escher's illustrated world of illusion through our faithfully reproduced prints.
We started out as a small screenprinter in a Brighton basement. Today we've grown to a factory and design studio in Newhaven. Headed by found Gyr King, we have a simple ethos to bring inspiring, affordable art to everyone.
Very pleased with this print. High quality and quick service
I have to say the print is of a very high quality. It far exceeded any expectations. I have over 34 years experience in the printing industry, so I 'know my onions' as it were. The reproduction is excellent- captures both highlight and solid areas beautifully.
The frame is also of a quality that I am delighted with.
This was a gift for my wife. She is so pleased with it.
The service I received matched the quality of the work. The customer services team are a credit to the company. I have no hesitation in recommending King & McGaw to anyone. I will definitely be using them for any art prints and framing on any future purchases.
Ordering system quite straight forward, and happy with the result that arrived beautifully packaged in the time scale promised.
Might not have used non reflective 'glass' as not sure it shows off the print to best effect but hard to tell when placing the order what would have looked best.
In general a very efficient service that produced good results at a reasonable price
Great print, excellent frame, well worth the money
