Philip Wilson Steer

Philip Wilson Steer was a British painter and influential teacher at the Slade School of Art. His landscapes and sea paintings made him a leading figure in the British Impressionist movement. Over time Steer developed a more traditional English style, influenced by Constable and Turner.
