Spencer Gore

Spencer Frederick Gore was a British painter of landscapes and interiors influenced by the post-Impressionist movement. Often experimenting with colour his bold style helped transform English painting in the early 20th century. Gore was the first president of the Camden Town Group and later became a member of The London Group a society dedicated to offering additional exhibiting opportunities to artists outside of the Royal Academy.
