William Powell Frith Art Prints

Yorkshireman William Frith (1818 - 1909) began painting at a young age, drawing inspiration from the historic and literary scenes in the work of Shakespeare and Dickens. During the 1850s he achieved success with his scenes of daily life and Queen Victoria purchased his painting Ramsgate Sands. His oeuvre includes many of the most cherished images of Victorian art, including Derby Day and The Railway Station.
