Midsummer

English artist Albert Joseph Moore (1841-1893) dabbled in Pre-Raphaelitism but began to exhibit Neo-Classical work from the 1860s and became known for it. His prime interest was not in subject matter but in colour, though he made careful studies of his subjects - drawings and colour sketches for every figure in every picture. These sublimely hued prints bring a sumptuous air to any space.
