Comrades

Scottish artist Alexander Millar has emerged as one of the UK's most popular artists. Raised in the small mining community of Springside his work focuses on what Millar calls 'old Gadgies'; the drunks, old women and working men he continues to see in his hometown. Millar paints them with a compassion that captures the grace of everyday movement, from stumbling down the street to dismounting a bike. Millar's passion for painting and his local area remains as strong as ever as he continues to paint and exhibit regularly.
