Painter and printmaker Andrew Lansley lives and works in Bath. His focus is on landscape, marine and architectural subjects, generated from direct experience and recorded through memory, drawing and photography.
Using raw pigments and tempera mediums including egg, casein, varnish and watercolour, Andrew creates beautifully textural paintings. He has exhibited at the Royal Academy, Royal West Of England Academy and most recently shown in the Lynn Painter Stainers Prize and Sunday Times Watercolour Prize exhibitions.
We caught up with painter Andrew Lansley to discuss his fascinating watercolours, his artist residency in Antarctica, and how seeing wildlife in its natural habitat inspired a recent series of landscape paintings.Read more
