Femme vetue allongee sur flanc (small)

Auguste Rodin (1840-1917) is best-known for his work as the greatest sculptor of the 19th century, but these drawings are a well-kept secret, a crucial part of his practice that developed in tandem with his sculpture and sustained his creativity. Single-handedly he rescued the world of sculpture from stagnation. Never before had any sculptor produced the human form so naturalistically, nor with such intensity of expression - the same intensity that we can see in these drawings. As Rodin himself said at the end of his life, "It's very simple. My drawings are the key to my work." Our bespoke frames add the finishing touch to these prints, which are a dynamic and charismatic addition to any interior.
