Chris Simpson Art Prints

Chris Simpson was born in Zurich in August 1952 to a Russian/Bulgarian mother and an Australian father. The family lived in Mauritius for 24 years and, although educated in the United Kingdom, Chris Simpson still spent an average of 3 months a year on the island.

He studied Art and Photography for 4 years at Ealing School of Art in London and has now been a professional photographer for nearly 30 years. Having originally established his name as a fashion photographer, in 1991 he decided to change the focus of his career and has since worked as a location-advertising photographer and, more recently, on projects entirely of his own.

Chris Simpson’s work has been regularly exhibited and he has won numerous awards, including 6 from the AFAEP and 2 from the Association of Photographers. He also won first prize in an Independent on Sunday photographic competition in 1998. His work is held in major corporate collections around the world, including those of Morgan Stanley, Dresdner Kleinwort Wassenstein, Texaco, Halifax, Unilever and Vickers Engineering.

Chris Simpson has two sons, Jack and Fergus, and lives in East Sussex.
