Guildhall Art Gallery

Guildhall Art Gallery, in the heart of The City of London, was established in 1886 as 'a collection of art treasures worthy of the capital city' that now contains some 4,000 works dating from 1670 to the present day, including 17th-century portraits, Pre-Raphaelite masterpieces, Victorian era artworks and a range of paintings documenting London's dramatic history. In addition to its exhibition programme, beneath the Gallery lie the remains of London’s Roman Amphitheatre which can also be visited free of charge.
