John William Godward (1858-1922) was a leading English Classical artist who specialised scenes featuring Grecian women in flowing robes - similar in style to Lawrence Alma-Tadema but with his own very personal variation. He was very selective about the models he would work from, partly due to his shy and sensitive nature. Godward's work reached great heights of popularity during his lifetime - unsurprising considering its beauty.

Really very pleased with my print. My sister admired it so much that I thought at first she wouldn’t, leave without me selling it to her. I have given her your details: Perhaps she will purchase from you in the near future,
