Port de Cette, Les Tartanes

Theo van Rysselberghe (1862-1926) was fascinated with the technique of Pointillism, which he learned from the paintings of Post-Impressionist Georges Seurat. Rysselberghe was the leader of the Belgian pointillist movement until 1904 when he decided to explore new artistic avenues.
