David James Art Prints

David James (1853-1904) flourished at the turn of the 19th and 20th Centuries as a painter of seascapes. Of Irish descent, he came over to England as a young man. He painted in oils and gradually spent more time in the West Country, especially Cornwall, where he concentrated on the painting of coastal landscapes and the sea itself. Today he is best known for his expansive scenes of breaking waves.
