Franz Marc (1880-1916) was a German Expressionist painter influenced by Cubism, Futurism and Symbolism. Through tender depictions of animals and natural scenes, Marc expressed his reverence of peace and nature. In his eyes, nature was a spiritual remedy to the toxic state of the modern world. This was a profound message for Europe on the brink of World War I.
Marc's dreamlike paintings convey his hopeful vision of the future, using primary colours to symbolise a profound sense of emotion. The artist's theory of colour associated blue with masculinity, yellow with femininity, and red with violence- symbols which endure today.

I have bought several pictures from this company and the whole experience was excellent. I ordered this picture on Sunday evening and it was delivered on Wednesday. In the past, it has taken longer but that was fine with me. The pictures are of excellent quality and the choice that they offer is really amazing. I once ordered a picture and whilst there was absolutely nothing wrong with it but I personally did not like it. I called a very helpful customer service advisor and she arranged for the picture to be collected with no charge. I would absolutely buy from them again.
