Jenny Phillips FLS b. Victoria, Australia 1949. Jenny has been working as a freelance botanical artist since 1971, has lectured on the subject for over fifteen years and is a master class instructor. She is a founder of The Florilegium Society of Australasia and a founder and director of the Botanical Art School of Melbourne. She has exhibited extensively. She is Honorary Director of the American Society of Botanical Artists, a member of the Botanical Art Society of Australia, honorary member of the Brooklyn Florilegium Society and the Chelsea Physic Garden Florilegium Society. She holds a Royal Horticultural Society Gold Medal. She won The Wildlife Artists of Australasia Best Watercolour award in 1991 and a Gold Medal at the National Print Awards in Australia in 1987. Her work is also included in the recently published Transylvania Florilegium under the umbrella of The Prince of Wales's Foundation Romania.
We started out as a small screenprinter in a Brighton basement. Today we've grown to a factory and design studio in Newhaven. Headed by found Gyr King, we have a simple ethos to bring inspiring, affordable art to everyone.
