Art prints & frames, handmade in England since 1982
Pam Glew is a Brighton-based artist known for her unique bleach paintings on fabric. She has exhibited alongside "YBA's", such as Tracey Emin and Damien Hirst. The fabrics she uses - flags, quilts, brocade - are as significant as the paintings themselves. Flags explore the connection between identity and nationality. While Glew's techniques of washing, sewing and dyeing cloth are metaphors for women's work, drawing attention to the absence of women in art history. This collection of limited editions, printed on Somerset Velvet paper, capture Glew's hard-edged style and embody true girl power.
