Petter Thoen was born in Norway 1943 and now lives and works in Sweden and U.S.A.
In the 60s Thoen created covers for magazines like Superman, Batman, Help (in Scandinavia), A Funny Half Hour and several others.
In the 70s he moved to the U.S.A. and worked as art director, winning numerous awards. He was also an instructor at The Art Center in Pasadena. Thoen took up painting again in the autumn of 2001; he wanted to devote his time to something he loved doing.
