Susan Laughton worked in architecture for twelve years before returning to education to study art, graduating in 2002. She now works from her studio in Cheshire. Her paintings and drawings evolve from half-remembered glimpses seen from the corner of the eye, fleeting juxtapositions elusive to photography, or from more studied compositions. The landscape is her starting point, not as a picturesque static view, but as a space travelled through and experienced often on the edges of the urban and the rural.
We started out as a small screenprinter in a Brighton basement. Today we've grown to a factory and design studio in Newhaven. Headed by founder Gyr King, we have a simple ethos to bring inspiring, affordable art to everyone.
