Elizabeth OConnors abstract painting style is influenced by her background in ceramics and sculpture. Fluidity and movement are captured on a flat surface, inspired by nature and the cosmos; combining peaceful relaxation with a joyful exuberance.
Having initially trained in art and ceramics, Elizabeth went on to study fine art, sculpture and photography at Nottingham Trent University. Since then she has been selling her art through galleries, festivals and special art projects. Her work was also chosen to feature in the film Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging, directed by Gurinder Chadha (Bend It Like Beckham). Alongside painting Elizabeth holds a passionate interest in knitting, clothes design and losing afternoons to a good paperback in the garden.
Imbued with a real sense of movement, these images make amazing large scale prints and canvas works, especially fitting for contemporary spaces.
