Insects and Bugs Art Prints

Insects present a variety of interpretations and meaning in art including death, rebirth and also as a word of warning, especially in Abraham Mignon's 17th century Dutch still-life painting of rotten fruits with crawling insects, symbolic of decay. Within Botanical art, insect drawings are considered a study of metamorphosis. The most prominent insects depicted include ants, moths and butterflies for their surrealistic tendencies.
