Marc Chagall's poetic, figurative style has established him as one of the most popular modern art painters. Born in 1877 in the Jewish town of Vitebsk, Russia, Chagall developed an early interest in art. After studying painting in 1907 he left for Paris, where he met Apollinaire, Delaunay, Leger, Modigliani and Lhote, becoming a prominent figure within the so-called Ecole de Paris. Influenced by cubism and fauvism, Chagall fused these with personal, dreamlike imagery to develop his own distinctive style.

Fantastic quality print, beautifully packaged which symbolises a romantic weekend in Brussells that I shared with my partner - we went to the Chagall retrospective so I was so pleased to find such an iconic print!
