We offer various types of mounts to help you chose the right style for your print. Watch this video to learn more about the different ways you can enhance the art you love.
A mount creates a window around the print, showing a gap between the artwork and the glazing which helps prevent damage from condensation. We use acid free, white-core mount board which ensures the cut bevel-edge nearest the print remains crisp and white.
Many of our prints are floated mounted on conservation-grade mount board with a 20 mm border which is set back from the glazing to protect the print.
Float mounts are particularly useful when you want to display the edges of print, especially when it has hand-torn or deckled edges like this limited edition by American abstract landscape painter Rebecca Byrne.
You may chose to enhance your print by bringing it forward, against its acrylic glazing without a mount. If you want a polished and more contemporary finish, removing the mount works particularly well for Vintage travel posters, Photographic prints, Graphic, and Typographic works.
